Natural Dyes: Cultivating Color
Join textile artist and farmer, Sarah Gotowka of Luna Fiber Studio as she takes you through her (virtual) dye garden. She will explain her plant selection process as she considers growing zones, harvest yields, her relationship to the history and culture of the plants, and of course - color. This workshop will end with a live demonstration of the natural dyeing process.

Sarah Gotowka is the owner and director of Luna Fiber Studio, a textile studio based out of Trumansburg NY (Gayagohono territory) specializing in weaving and natural dyeing, rooted in sustainability and social justice. Sarah has been weaving since 2005, and has been growing natural dyes since 2010. Sarah is a Korean adoptee and was able to travel back to her place of birth to study a traditional indigo fermentation technique in 2022.
